A Western Cape safety campaign said recent statistics showed that taxi drivers are not the main perpetrators of road deaths.
Safely Home said an studies made by the campaign in 2011, showed normal motorists were the main cause of road accidents.
Kevin October of the campaign said taxis were not the root cause.
He continued and said that taxi’s caused fewer than 15% of road fatalities.
