The City of Cape Town has confirmed that a man has been killed in a shark attack at Kogel Bay between Gordon’s Bay and Rooi Els.

City officials have issued a strong warning to the public to stay out of water in False Bay as there still fears that the shark is still around the area.

Emergency officials say that the victim was already dead when they arrived.

The deceased is believed to have been a young man who was body-boarding with his brother.
