In Elsies River this morning a construction worker sustained serious injuries after a street lamp fell on him.
ER24’s Andre Visser said they don’t know what exactly happened but they suspect the street lamp fell onto its side then onto the worker.
Visser added that when ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene they found the man in severe pain.
The man was treated for chest and neck injuries on the scene before being taken to the nearby hospital.
