Eastern Cape pupils go to other provinces for education

The Western Cape Premier Helen Zille a few weeks ago made headlines when she said that the province becomes a victim of Eastern Cape education refugees.
Zille was responding an overcrowding protest at a school in Grabouw.
A new study has shown that about 17-percent of Eastern Cape pupils, who move to other provinces for education, choose the Western Cape.
The study finds that the most preferred province is Gauteng.
