Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane wants local government MEC Humphrey Mmemezi to explain allegations about damage to a government vehicle and the apparent misuse of a government credit card.
Reports say Mmemezi lied about damages of more than 100-thousand-Rands caused to a luxury government vehicle he crashed in KwaZulu-Natal
He has apparently also used a government credit card to buy art, suits and shoes.
The MEC’s vehicle severely injured teenager Thomas Ferreira in a crash last year.
