5 people killed in an accident

At least five people were killed when a car smashed into the back of a minibus on a Pretoria highway this morning.

The N-4 east had to be closed for traffic between the Rayton off ramp and the toll gate while paramedics attended to the accident scene.

Traffic officials say one of the people who died was in the car, while the others were minibus passengers.

Several fatal accidents were reported on Gauteng’s roads over the weekend.
