The African National Congress in the Western Cape has criticized the Democratic Alliance’s cancellation of all scheduled sittings for the remainder of the term.

The ANC’s Cobus Grobler said that executive cabinet and premier Helen Zille decided to go on an outing, a recreational tour with bicycles, rather than attending to urgent matters in the legislature.

Grobler says that the DA is under a lot of pressure to answer questions on the findings of the Public Protector.

He also says they are not happy that the scheduled sittings were cancelled without proper explanations.
