Sixteen people were killed in a collision between two buses on the R61 between Cradock and Graaf-Reinet in theEastern Cape .
One of the buses was carrying schoolchildren to an event in Graaf-Reinet when it collided with a bus carrying passengers fromCape Town to Mthatha.
Western Cape Traffic Chief, Kenny Africa the schools principal who drove the bus was among those who died.
Survivours have all been transported to hospitals in the area.
