30 people killed in a train crash in Mpumalanga

The death toll of the Mpumalanga train crash has risen to 30 people.

The accident occurred this morning when a goods train crashed with truck carrying farm workers on a level crossing near Hectorspruit in Mpumalanga.

Emergency Services are still on the scene.

ER24`s Jeffrey Wicks said that the cause of the accident is still not known at this stage.

Wicks said that about 24 people suffered serious injuries.
