DA welcomes EC education department to charge SADTU official

On Thursday the DA welcomed the decision by the Eastern Cape Education Department to charge a SADTU official with misconduct.
This comes after an incident where a SADTU official tried to run down the DA’s Lindiwe Mazibuko with a car earlier this year.
The DA Eastern Cape Education spokesperson Edmund van Vuuren said he was given the assurance by the officials that they will proceed with a disciplinary code.
He added that disciplinary proceedings will definitely take place as early as next week.
