Western Cape MEC for Education Donald Grant visited Worcester for the launch of the new Information Communication technology Resource Centre for mobile education on Wednesday.

The MEC’s spokesperson Bronagh Casey said the programme focuses on using ICT as a means for teaching and learning and provides ICT training to teachers and unemployed youth.

She added that similar centres have been established in the nine provinces in South Africa.

Casey said each ICT centre will offer a computer room with 50 computer terminals.
