Man beaten for raping a young girl

Residents from Sir Lowry’s Pass Village informal settlement allegedly attacked a man caught raping a four-year-old girl.

It is said that residents took matters into the own hands and tried to prevent police from removing the suspect from the scene.

The man was severly beaten.

Provincial Media Officer for South African Police Services, November Filander said that the accused is now in police custody for his alleged crime.
