This morning MEC for Education Donald Grant will be visiting Mfuleni Secondary in Kuilsrivier where Grade 12 learners are participating in a Winter School preparation for the 2012 National Senior Certificate Examinations.
The Western Cape Education Department initiated a number of Winter School programmes across the province at 98 schools which offers extra tuition for various learners in various subjects.
The aim of the Winter classes were to improve individual learner results.
WCED has developed strict criteria in terms of tutor selection to ensure learners receive the best possible tuition.
