A part of the N1 Highway between Beaufort West and Richmond has been reopened to traffic.
The road had been closed due to heavy snowfall since Saturday.
Western Cape traffic Officials and the Rescue Services have been assisting trapped motorists in the freezing conditions.
The Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa says in-coming and on-coming traffic is still moving slowly.
Africa ugred motorists to be cautious at all times as the road is still wet.
