Andiswa Mkosi
12 July 2012
Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane has accepted housing MEC Humphrey Mmemezi's resignation.
Infrastructure development MEC Bheki Nkosi has temporarily taken over his position.
Mmemezi acknowledged that he had transgressed by making personal purchases on a government issued credit card. But he stressed that he had repaid the money.
Mmemezi denied allegations that he had misled the provincial government about an accident with his official vehicle in KwaZulu-Natal last year.
