Schoolbag found in possession of the accused

Johannesburg police found the schoolbag of the murdered teenager Louise De Waal in possession of the alleged Sunday rapist.

Warrant officer Danie Pieterse told a High Court sitting in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s court he found a pink bag with Louise De Waal’s name on it on Jaco Steyn’s property.

Steyn has pleaded not guilty to 36 charges including rape, kidnapping and murder.

Pieterse says he also found the same silver bakkie described by witnesses of the alleged kidnapping.
