Last night Fire and Rescue Services responded to a fire on the slopes of a mountain above castle rock in Simonstown.
Emergency Services said the fire was largely difficult to get to.
Theo Layne of the Fire and Rescue Team says there are still two fire engines on the scene to ensure that the fire is under control.
Layne added that the cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
