A recent American survey has revealed that 62 percent of young adults rely on their parents for financial assistance.
According to independent financial services group ACSIS this trend is more than likely occurring in South Africa.
The number of unemployed youth aged between 15 and 24 jumped by 9.9 percent in the first quarter of 2012.
A local financial advisory has urged the youth to start saving from a young age to avoid being financially dependent on their families.
