On Wednesday President Jacob Zuma officially signalled the construction of the Nelson Mandela Legacy Bridge Project in Ludondolo near Mthatha in the Eastern Cape.
The presidency’s office’s Sehloho Mphati said the president officially launched the bridge.
He added that the president also visited a brick making plant in the area.
Mphati said this forms part of the 10km road that is linking the Nelson Mandela Bridge with the N2.
