The Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court on the West Rand has granted bail to one of the two men accused of attacking Muhammad Fayaaz Kazi after mocking him for his Muslim faith.

Twenty-eight-year-old Roedolf Viviers faces charges of murder and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after Kazi was beaten to death at a fast food outlet in Magaliesburg earlier this month.

His co-accused, 33-year-old Zayne van Tonder, was granted two-thousand-Rands bail after being charged with assault.

The case has been postponed to the end of November.
