This morning the African National Congress Youth League members gathered in their numbers to march against the City of Cape Town’s government.

They are complaining amongst other things service delivery and planned closure of 27 schools.

Premier Helen Zille said  she will be accepting the memorandum the league will be handing over only if the ANCYL apologises for the comments they made about making the City ungovernable.

Provincial executive committee of the ANC said they have had enough of being oppressed and claimed that come 2014  the masses will vote for change in the Western Cape.

Khaya Yozi the leader of the ANCYL announced that unfortunately Helen Zille will not be receiving the memorandum and by doing this she has undermined their march.

The Premier sent out Irvin Mayer to represent her.

The protesters demanded that Helen Zille appears, if not she should send out a “white South African” to receive the memorandum, preferably Theuns Botha.
