Arrested Marikana miners accuse police of assault

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate has handed a report on the Marikana massacre to the Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa.

On the report, some of the 259 miners arrested during the protest last week, accuse police of assaulting them.

The IPID report, records that the assault allegations were lodged from different police stations.

Mthethwa said that the allegations will be investigated and those found guilty will be arrested.

He added that the complainants have been relocated.
