Cape Town shack fires leave two people dead

Two separate shack fires in Cape Town left two people dead.
A 39-year-old man died in Heideveld when six shacks were gutted with fire.

In another incident a 30-year-old man was burnt beyond recognition in Khayelitsha.

Disaster Risk Management Centre Spokesperson Wilfred Solomons-Johannes said that the cause of both fires is still not known at this stage and the police are investigating.

Solomons-Johannes added that the Disaster Management Team are on scene helping the victims.
