The Western Cape Department of Home Affairs is having problems processing documents.

These documents include unabridged marriage and birth certificates.

Home Affairs Chief Director Yusuf Simons said there are also online agencies offering their services and charging fees to get the same documents at Home Affairs.

Simons said that if clients wait longer than three months for their documents, they should contact the client service line.
