Western Cape Police Commissioner Arno Lamoer has assured Premier Helen Zille that law and order will be maintained during an ANC Youth League march on Monday.

Zille said that anyone breaking the law during the march will be arrested.

Zille also said that the ANCYL will be held financially and personally liable for any damage to property.

Zille added that she is prepared to personally receive a memorandum from Youth League members on condition that they withdraw their threats to make the city ungovernable.
