The South African Workers Union has stated that the South African Local Government Association will be filing leave to appeal the wage curve victory that SAMWU secured.
SAMWU said the behaviour by SALGA is a waste of rate payer’s money as legal processes could cost millions of Rands.
SAMWU’s General Secretary Walter Theledi said they believe that SALGA’s behaviour will cause instability in the sector.
He added that they will be filing a case at the Constitutional Court.
