President Jacob Zuma is reportedly on his way back from Mozambique due to the Lonmin mine crisis.

Zuma was in Maputo attending the 32nd Southern African Development Community Summit.

More than 30 people were shot dead by police officers in Lomin Mine.

The South African Institute of Race Relations has, meanwhile, demanded that all the police officers who were involved in yesterday’s shooting to be charged with murder or culpable homicide.

Institute’s Lucy Holborn says the officers should immediately be suspended.
