The South African Institute for Security Studies, together with the police, are promoting their campaign entitled ‘reward a cop, report a cop’.
The Institute’s head of crime and justice, Gareth Newham, says the programme encourages members of the public to report any police corruption, or good work, through social media or by email.
He says they want to increase engagement between the public and police to promote good policing in South Africa
He says it is important the public knows that they play an important role in policing.
