The September National Imbizo has embarked on a national campaign, aimed at raising critical consciousness and building a movement for liberation.

The organisation said that the Western Cape Premier Helen Zille must deal directly with the necklacing in Khayelitsha.

The organisation`s Sibushi Motswanedi said that the Western Cape government has to be blamed for the conditions that the people of Khayelitsha live under.

Motswanedi also said that the Premier needs to visit the area even if its once every five years.

He added that the issue of necklacing needs to be discussed in Khayelitsha not in the premier` office.
