Still in search of drowned child

A search is continuing for a nine-year-old boy presumed to have drowned at Elsieskraal.

Disaster Risk Management’s Wilfred Solomon Johannes said the boy was playing alongside the river when he slipped and was swept away by the current on Wednesday. 

Solomon Johannes also said that emergency rescue teams are still looking for the body of the child.

Risk management has made provisions for pupils, family and teahers close to the boy be treated to trauma coucilling.
