A stowaway has been found dead on a British Airways flight that arrived at London’s Heathrow airport from Cape Town International today.

Airports Company SA says a man was seen scaling the perimeter fence at the Cape Town airport last night.

A security patrol officer attempted to apprehend the man but the British Airways aircraft was already in its holding pattern ready for take-off. The official had to withdraw for safety reasons.

British Airways and various other parties were notified. A full investigation will be undertaken.
