Students return to their residence at TUT

The Tshwane University Technology campuses have been re-opened.

The University campuses in Polokwane, Emalahleni, Ga-Rankua, and Soshanguve were closed last week after student protests that turned violent.

Many organisartions had been calling for the Higher Education and Training Minister Dr Blade Nzimande to intervene.

The institution`s Spokesperson Willa de Ruyter said classes are expected resumeon Monday.

Willa de Ruyter added that security at all campuses has been strengthened to monitor the situation.
