Premier Helen Zille in Cape Town today announced an appointment of a commission of enquiry into allegations of policing inefficiency in Khayelitsha.

Numerous reports over the past few weeks have stated that there has been a breakdown between the police and the community.

The commission is established on the grounds of Sessions 206 in the Constitution.

Zille said that they hope to officially start the commission within the next month after specific details thereof have been laid out.
