Cape Town motorist to pay more fees in 2013

Motorists in Cape Town will soon have to pay R1.500 to get their cellphones back from the beginning of 2013. 

Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security JP Smith said from January drivers would have to pay an extra tariff to get the phone. 

Smith said that at the moment when motorist go to collect their cellphones there are no fees attached.

He also said the tariffs will be determined by the portfolio committee.

Smith added that traffic officers will be targeting cellphone offenders.
