Limpopo is the most food-secure province in the country with 86-percent of people in the province having enough to eat according to Gauteng agriculture MEC Nandi Mayathula-Khoza.
Using the latest General Household Survey by Statistics SA she says Kwa-Zulu Natal is second and Gauteng third.
The province with the lowest access to food was the North West with only 67.1-percent.
In general South Africa is relatively secure with only 6.5-percent of citizens seen as having a severe lack of access to food.
