Nathi Mthethwa-there is progress in firearm control

The United Democratic Movement says it is worrying that incidents of police brutality country are increasing.
UMD spokesperson Lennox Gaehler said recently there were reports of two people who were rushed to hospital and 21 others including school children came to light after they were treated for minor injuries after protests took place in Sterkspruit.
Meanwhile the Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa when responding to Parliamentary question said there is progress being made in relation to firearm control in some provinces.
Mthethwa said there is a tasked police management that aims to strengthen firearm control measures with immediate effect, particularly in provinces where there is no improvement.
