Roodt says continued striking could hurt economy

Economist Dawie Roodt says continued striking could hurt platinum exports but will probably not affect the economy too badly in the long run.
This following Finance Minister Gordhan’s comments last week.
Gordhan said labour unrest in the sector could be extremely damaging to the county’s economy if it continues.
Roodt says mining contributes between six and seven-percent of the South African economy and decreased production at mines could affect exports.
