The South African Youth Council in the Western Cape says they are taken aback by the lack of transformation in a lucrative property industry.

SAYC Provincial Chairperson Thembinkosi Josophu said they support the call for establishment of a fund to support new entrants for the first three to six months.

Josophu added that entry requirements in the industry are very difficult for young and black entrepreneurs.

SAYC calls on the Minister of Human Settlements to accelerate transformation in this growing and lucrative industry.
