Seven peope died on Western Cape roads

Seven people were killed and at least six others were seriously injured in three separate accidents in three Western Cape on Monday.

Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa said two racing Golf motor vehicles collided with an ambulance between De Rust and Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape.

Four occupants of the Golf motor vehicles died on the scene and the driver of the ambulance was seriously injured, as well as other two occupants of the ambulance.

In another accident an Uno vehicle had a tyre burst on the N2 between George and Mossel Bay, the vehicle collided with another vehicle on the Highway.

Two occupants of the vehicle died on the scene.

Africa also said a light motor vehicle veered off the road on the N7,killing an 84 year-old.
