The Western Cape Education Department said that measures have been put in place for the upcoming grade 12 final exams in an effort to prevent the leaking of any scripts.

More than 45,000 pupils in the Western Cape will be sitting for the national exam period next month.

This is 4 300 more than in previous years.

The department's Paddy Atwell said they have assessed those who will be marking and moderating the exam papers.
