Traditional Courts Bill under spotlight

The Alliance for Rural Democracy has slammed the Traditional Courts Bill.

The bill was proposed by the Department of Justice and the Constitutional Development.

It was presented in Parliament on Tuesday.

The Alliance for Rural Democracy`s Nomboniso Gasa said the department of Justice has introduced a new proposal pretending it is a new bill.

Gasa further said the bill entrenches colonial boundaries.

She added that if the bill is implemented it would take the country far back.
