Two shopkeepers shot dead in Philippi

Two Somali shopkeepers were shot and killed in Philippi on Monday afternoon.

The Nyanga police were alerted to the incident in Brown's Farm.

Police Spokersperson November Filander said the victims were on their way to a store in the area when they were attacked.

Filander said it is not clear at this stage whether anything was taken from the deceased.

Filander said that the two suspects are still at large.

He urged the public to come forward with any information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects.
