The United Democratic Movement has spoken out about the news that the Western Cape is the worst performer with regard to race and gender equality at job levels.
Recent reports have shown that employment especially in government and the private sector still don’t have enough non-white employees.
UDM Deputy Secretary General Nqabayomzi Kwankwa said Africans in the Western Cape always complain for being overlooked for promotions.
Kwankwa also said there is a need to get the provincial government to lead by example, so that it can put pressure on the private sector to comply with Employment Equity Act.
