A Strikes and Industrial Action Seminar is being held in Johannesburg this week.

This follows several strike actions in the country.

Conflict resolution specialist Chris Jacobs says it is time for government to take action against all of the unlawful strikes going on in the country.

Jacobs says illegal strikes are threatening the economy and government needs to step up to the plate to break the trend of strikes going beyond the law.
