Madonsela confirms probe into Zuma’s alleged abuse of power

The Public Protector has confirmed to AfriForum that it is to investigate President Jacob Zuma’s alleged abuse of power in developing his home at Nkandla in KwaZulu/Natal.

Ernst Roets, AfriForum’s deputy CEO, says Zuma is wearing three hats.

He is the President, he is chairman of the rural development organisation that is developing Nkandla, and as a citizen with a personal interest in Nkandla he is also a beneficiary of the development.

Roets says this is most unethical.
