The Western Cape Department of Transport today released a shame and name list.
The list has all the names of traffic offenders that have been caught in the province.
Transport MEC Robbin Carlisle says this is part of their anti-drunk driving measures for the festive season.
MEC Spokesperson Siphesihle Dube said that this campaign aims to raise more awareness to the issues that are raised by drivers on the road.
Dube said that drunk driving has been identified as the main cause of road fatalities.
He added that they are gearing up for the festive season to ensure that fatality numbers remain on a downward trend.
