Archbishop calls for calm in the farming sector

A nglican Archbishop of Cape Town , Thabo Makgoba,
has called for calm in the farming sector in the Western Cape following two
weeks of violent protests by farm workers over wage demands.
Makgoba was speaking after a meeting with religious leaders atWorcester in the Boland.
Yesterday, farm workers in the Boland returned to work in their thousands, two weeks after violent protests over higher wages broke out in De Doorns.
The national labour unions and organised agriculture leaders last week agreed to suspend the strike until the 4th of December while talks are underway for what is believed to be new sectorial determination.
