Buckle-up campaign launched in Cape Town

The Western Cape Transport and Public Works MEC Robin Carlisle together with the Red Cross Children’s Hospital on Wednesday launched the “Buckle-up or you’ll be  back “campaign.

The campaign aims to raise awareness on the dangers of not buckling up when driving.

Robin Carlisle Spokesperson Siphesihle Dube said the number of children dying at road accidents has increase and the reasons for that its those parents who do not buckle-up.

The Red Cross Children's Hospital today said on average, one child dies every day due to injuries sustained in car accidents.
