Commission for Gender Equality speaks out about DA Federal Conference

As the DA will be holding the Federal
Congress from the 23rd to the 25th of this month, the
commission for Gender Equality is mandated by section 187 of the country’s
constitution to promote respect for gender equality and the protection, development
and attainment of gender equality of South
Africa .
The Commission is also empowered under law to monitor and evaluate the policies and practices of state organs.
Deputy Chairperson for the Commission of Gender Equality Thoko MPumlwane says gender equality should be practiced in all structures of society.
She adds that political parties are there to role model what it means to live in a society that affirms men and women.
