The police are expected to continue to
present an overview of their basic training when the Marikana Commission of
Inquiry resumes in Rustenburg this morning.
Last week Brigadier Petrus Breytenbach took the stand and testified that during the 24 month training period, police officers receive special training to ensure a safe environment for communities.
It's yet unclear whether the families of deceased mine workers will give evidence to the Commission from this week, due to unresolved matters between legal teams for the families and the police.
The Socio-economic Rights Institute has compiled a power point presentation, together with sworn affidavits from the families.
